Odoo Pricing 2026: Plans, Light Users, Hosting and Real Costs
Odoo costs €0 for one app, €19.90 per user a month on Standard and €35.90 on Custom in year one, then rises. Light Users, Odoo.sh hosting, packs, a 40-user budget.

Odoo costs €0 for one app with unlimited users, €19.90 per user a month on Standard and €35.90 per user a month on Custom in the first year on yearly billing, read on Odoo's pricing page on October 17, 2026. Those two paid prices are introductory: they rise to €24.90 and €44.90 from the second year, and monthly billing costs €31.10 and €56.90.
Odoo prices in euros for European buyers; US buyers see a dollar list on the same page, so check the current price on Odoo's site before you build the budget.
The subscription is the small part of an Odoo bill. Hosting on Odoo.sh, the success pack that installs it and the second-year price step are what a CFO has to model, and this page prices all three for a 40-user company. The Odoo review covers the product; this page covers only what it costs.

Odoo plans at a glance
| Plan | Price, yearly billing | Price, monthly billing | Hosting | What it adds |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| One App Free | €0 | €0 | Odoo Online | One app and the apps it depends on, for unlimited users, forever |
| Standard | €19.90 per user a month in year one, €24.90 after | €31.10 per user a month | Odoo Online | All apps for a single fee: Accounting, Sales, CRM, Inventory, HR, Project, eCommerce, POS and more |
| Custom | €35.90 per user a month in year one, €44.90 after | €56.90 per user a month | Odoo Online, Odoo.sh or on-premise | Odoo Studio, Agentic AI, Multi-Company, External API, plus the hosting choice |
| Light User | €7.90 a month, quoted through an Odoo advisor | Not listed | Follows the plan | A limited seat for time off, expenses, appraisals, attendances, planning, field service, barcode operations and read-only Knowledge |
An ERP subscription, for this audience, is the per-user licence for the ledger and the operational apps that post to it. At Odoo the licence is one flat per-user fee for every app, which is the opposite of NetSuite's module-by-module quote described in NetSuite pricing 2026.
Who counts as a paying user
Odoo bills backend users and employee records, not customers. A paying user is anyone with access to the Odoo backend to create, view or edit documents, and also any employee record in the HR app with no linked user. Customers and suppliers who read their invoices on the portal, and website visitors placing eCommerce orders, pay nothing. A 40-person company with 400 customers on the portal therefore buys 40 seats, not 440.
The employee rule is the one that surprises finance teams. Payroll or time-off for 60 warehouse staff who never log in still creates 60 employee records, and each one is either a full paying user or a Light User. Light Users cost €7.90 a month and cover self-service tasks: their own time off, expenses, appraisals, attendances, referrals, planning, field service, inventory barcode operations and read-only Knowledge. Odoo lists the price but quotes it through an advisor meeting, so put the request in before you sign. Sixty Light Users for a year is €5,688, against €17,928 if those same people were Standard seats at the year-one rate.
The first-year discount and what happens in year two
The €19.90 and €35.90 prices are valid for 12 months, for the initial users ordered. That is Odoo's footnote, and it has two edges. First, every seat you add after the initial order pays the regular yearly rate, €24.90 on Standard or €44.90 on Custom, from day one. Second, the whole contract moves to the regular rate at renewal. A budget built on the headline price understates year two by 25% on both plans.
Monthly billing is the price of flexibility, and it is only available on cloud hosting. Standard at €31.10 and Custom at €56.90 per user a month cost 25% and 27% more than the regular yearly rate, and 56% and 58% more than the first-year rate. Odoo's configurator states that the monthly plan is available only to cloud hosting options, so an on-premise Custom deployment is a yearly contract by definition. If you need to scale seats down after a seasonal peak, monthly is worth the premium; if headcount is stable, yearly is the only sensible choice.
When you are forced from Free to Standard to Custom
A second app moves you to Standard. One App Free is real and has no user cap, but installing a second app that is not a dependency of the first puts every user on the Standard price. A company that starts with Accounting and later adds Sales or Inventory should budget Standard from the start. The limits of the free tier, and of ERPNext and Dolibarr beside it, are in free ERP software 2026.
A second company, Studio or an API integration moves you to Custom. Multi-Company, Odoo Studio, Agentic AI and the External API are listed on Custom only. A finance team with two legal entities, a custom field built in Studio or an integration that writes to Odoo through the API pays €44.90 per user a month from year two, for every user, not only the ones who touch the second entity. That is the same whole-account upgrade rule BILL and Brex apply to their tiers, and it is the line item most often missing from an Odoo budget. For how other mid-market ledgers handle entities, see best accounting software for multi-entity businesses.
Odoo.sh hosting: the cost Custom leaves out
Custom's price excludes Odoo.sh. Odoo's footnote says the cost of Odoo.sh hosting is not included, and the configurator prices it by the piece, read on October 17, 2026.
| Odoo.sh item | Monthly billing | Yearly billing |
|---|---|---|
| Worker | €60 a month | €48 a month |
| Storage | €0.20 per GB a month | €0.16 per GB a month |
| Staging environment | €15 a month | €12 a month |
| Dedicated server | €500 a month | €400 a month |
Above 16 workers or 512 GB of storage, Odoo asks you to contact its team for a quote. A modest Custom deployment with two workers, one staging environment and 50 GB on yearly billing is €116 a month, or €1,392 a year, on top of the seats. Odoo Online hosting, by contrast, is included on Standard and on Custom when you choose it, with incremental daily backups on two continents, email integration and 24/7 monitoring. On-premise is the third route: no hosting fee to Odoo, but your own servers, upgrades and backups, and yearly billing only.
Implementation: success packs in euros
Odoo sells its own implementation hours as success packs, and the pack is a separate invoice. Companies under 50 employees buy packs directly; Odoo says mid-size and large companies usually work with a partner, whose rates Odoo does not publish. The pack prices below were read on Odoo's success pack page on October 17, 2026, with the 15% new-customer discount applied.
| Success pack | Hours | New customer price | Returning customer price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | 4 | €499 | €587.06 |
| Basic | 25 | €2,635 | €3,100 |
| Standard | 50 | €4,675 | €5,500 |
| Custom | 100 | €8,415 | €9,900 |
| Pro | 200 | €16,830 | €19,800 |
Odoo's configurator recommends the 25-hour pack for companies under 50 users. Treat that as the floor for an accounting rollout with a chart of accounts import, bank feeds and one approval flow; a multi-company setup with Studio customizations belongs in the 100-hour band. Where NetSuite's implementation lands is covered in NetSuite pricing 2026, and the NetSuite review covers the product that quote buys.
A 40-user company, priced three ways
Our scenario: 40 backend users, one legal entity on Standard or two entities on Custom, yearly billing, a new customer buying the 25-hour pack, and the two-worker Odoo.sh setup above when Custom is hosted there. Totals multiply Odoo's published rates and are our arithmetic, not a quote; they exclude VAT or sales tax, In-App Purchase credits and partner fees.
| Line | Standard, Odoo Online | Custom, Odoo Online | Custom, Odoo.sh |
|---|---|---|---|
| Seats, year one | €9,552 | €17,232 | €17,232 |
| Seats, year two and after | €11,952 | €21,552 | €21,552 |
| Hosting, per year | Included | Included | €1,392 |
| 25-hour success pack, once | €2,635 | €2,635 | €2,635 |
| Year-one total | €12,187 | €19,867 | €21,259 |
| Three-year total | €36,091 | €62,971 | €67,147 |
The step from Standard to Custom costs more over three years than the implementation does. Two entities, or one Studio field, add €26,880 over three years for 40 users in this scenario, while the pack is a one-time €2,635. If a second company is on the roadmap, price Custom from day one rather than discovering the whole-account upgrade at the acquisition. Monthly billing would lift the Standard seat line to €14,928 a year, which is the price of being able to drop seats at will.
Odoo against the alternatives a CFO is pricing
Odoo is the cheapest full-suite ERP with a published per-user price, and the comparison is with the ledgers that publish one. QuickBooks Online and Xero are accounting tools, not ERPs, and QuickBooks Online pricing 2026 shows what they cost when the need is a ledger only; QuickBooks vs NetSuite is the guide for the moment a company outgrows them. NetSuite and Sage Intacct publish no list price, so the honest comparison is Odoo's three-year total above against a quote, and NetSuite vs Sage Intacct explains what those quotes contain. The head-to-head with Oracle's product is NetSuite vs Odoo, and the Sage Intacct review and Acumatica review cover the two mid-market ERPs most often shortlisted beside Odoo. For the ledger-first shortlist, start at best accounting software.
How we priced this
We read Odoo's pricing page, its pricing FAQ, its pricing configurator for Standard and Custom and its success pack page on October 17, 2026. All figures are the euro prices Odoo displays to European buyers, stated once each with their billing basis; we converted nothing, and US buyers should read the dollar list on Odoo's own page. Scenario totals multiply published rates by 40 users and are our arithmetic. Louis Corneloup, founder of Toolradar and Dupple, edited the verdict. Confirm the current price, the Light User quote and the pack size with Odoo before you sign.
FAQ
How much does Odoo cost per user in 2026?
On yearly billing, Standard is €19.90 per user a month in the first year and €24.90 after, and Custom is €35.90 in the first year and €44.90 after. Monthly billing is €31.10 on Standard and €56.90 on Custom. One App Free is €0 for unlimited users on a single app. Odoo shows these prices in euros to European buyers and a dollar list to US buyers.
Is Odoo really free?
Yes, for one app. One App Free gives unlimited users one Odoo app, plus the apps it depends on, on Odoo Online, with no time limit. The moment you install a second independent app, every user moves to Standard; a second company, Studio or the external API moves every user to Custom.
What is an Odoo Light User and how much does it cost?
A Light User is a limited seat at €7.90 a month for staff who only need self-service: their own time off, expenses, appraisals, attendances, referrals, planning, field service, barcode operations and read-only Knowledge. Odoo lists the price but sets it up through a meeting with an Odoo advisor, so request it during the sales process.
Does the Odoo price include hosting and implementation?
Odoo Online hosting is included on Standard and Custom, with daily backups on two continents and 24/7 monitoring. Odoo.sh hosting is extra: €48 per worker, €12 per staging environment and €0.16 per GB a month on yearly billing. Implementation is a separate success pack, from €499 for 4 hours to €16,830 for 200 hours for a new customer, or a partner's quote for companies over 50 employees.
Why does my Odoo bill go up in year two?
Because the headline price is a 12-month discount for the initial users ordered. At renewal, Standard moves from €19.90 to €24.90 per user a month and Custom from €35.90 to €44.90, a 25% rise, and any seat added after the initial order pays the regular rate from the start.
Can I pay for Odoo monthly?
Yes, on cloud hosting only: Odoo Online on Standard or Custom, or Odoo.sh on Custom. Monthly billing costs €31.10 per user on Standard and €56.90 on Custom. On-premise Custom deployments are billed yearly.
