Acumatica Review 2026: Is It Worth It, and What Does It Cost?

The monthly starting price for each Acumatica industry package, what moves the bill above it, and four alternatives checked on their own pricing pages.

TL;DR

Acumatica is worth a shortlist for a distribution, manufacturing or construction company with a growing user base. Its own calculator pages put the starting price under USD 1,495 a month for distribution, under USD 1,500 for construction and under USD 2,185 for manufacturing, as read on October 10, 2026. Support and implementation sit inside those figures, and the vendor says users cost nothing extra.

Skip it if you run no inventory, production or construction work, since the three packages are built for those industries. The starting figure is a floor, not the year's bill. Applications, usage and deployment move the total, so price the modules you need before you compare the number with a per-seat tool.

Pricing basisApplications, usage, deployment

Buy Acumatica when inventory, production or construction jobs have to sit on the same ledger, and when the user count keeps rising faster than the application list. Acumatica prices on the applications you implement, usage and deployment rather than on seats. According to the vendor, adding a buyer or a warehouse clerk adds no license line.

The calculators leave one gap open. They show the floor for each industry, not what that floor becomes once you add the applications you need. That gap is the part of the decision this page spends most of its time on.

Toolradar data: Toolradar tracks 268 accounting tools as of October 10, 2026. Its Acumatica profile lists paid plans only, with no tier prices, and sends buyers to the vendor for current pricing.

Every price below therefore comes from Acumatica's own pages or from the other vendors' pricing pages, read the same day.

How we compared: Acumatica's pricing page and its three industry calculators, plus the pricing pages of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Unleashed, Odoo and Rillet, all read on October 10, 2026. We have not run Acumatica, so this page reports vendor figures and a computed scenario, not hands-on results.

What is Acumatica?

Acumatica is a cloud ERP. The vendor calls it a true cloud-based platform and sells three APEX industry packages: construction, manufacturing and distribution. Each starting price carries support and implementation services, which is why the vendor pitches it as a ready package rather than a bare license.

The homepage says thousands of businesses use it, with no exact figure. That tells a buyer little about whether a firm of their size and sector runs the same setup, so the fit test has to be done on the application list.

How Acumatica works

The buying path starts on the calculator. Pick your industry, share some details about the company, and the page ends in an instant quote form. The pricing page adds that a partner explains the cost differences between deployment options and their breakeven points.

Ask for that conversation before you sign, because deployment is one of the three factors that set the price.

Acumatica key features

Unlimited users at no added chargeEssential
The calculator pages say users are unlimited at no additional cost. For a company that adds finance, sales and warehouse staff, the license line follows applications and usage rather than headcount, as the vendor describes it.
Pricing by application, not by seatEssential
The pricing page says cost is based mainly on the number of applications you implement. You pay for the functions you need rather than for user seats.
Industry packages with a starting figureEssential
Construction, manufacturing and distribution each carry a published monthly starting price with support and implementation in the figure. Those are the only dollar figures on the pricing and calculator pages.
Deployment choice changes the bill
The pricing page lists deployment as one of three cost factors and says a partner explains the breakeven points between options. The page does not print those points, so the first call is where the choice gets priced.

Acumatica pricing

Acumatica's pricing page prints no plan ladder. It names three cost drivers, applications, usage and resources, and deployment, then sends the buyer to a custom pricing review.

The dollar figures sit on the three industry calculators, linked here by industry: distribution, construction and manufacturing. Each one is described as a starting price, with support and implementation included.

Read those as monthly floors. Twelve months at the distribution floor is $17,940 (12 x USD 1,495), construction is $18,000, and manufacturing is $26,220. The year's bill rises with every application, usage or resource level and deployment choice added after the quote, so these are the lowest lines a buyer can start from.

Business Central is the comparison this page can price most cleanly, because Microsoft publishes its USD prices. Its Essentials plan is $80 a user a month and Premium is $110 a user a month, both paid yearly, which is $960 and $1,320 a user a year.

From 19 Essentials users up, the Acumatica distribution floor costs less, and from 14 Premium users up it costs less than Premium. Below those counts, Business Central is the lower line.

That arithmetic ignores modules on both sides and assumes the floor covers the scope you need, which the calculator does not promise. Treat the break-even counts as the point where the question deserves a full quote, not as a price.

Unleashed is the distribution alternative Toolradar lists beside Acumatica. Its Pro plan is $729 a month, or $8,019 a year billed annually, with a 14-day trial.

Onboarding runs $449 to $5,549 on top. Its priced add-ons cover inventory, warehouse, order and CRM work, and none is a general ledger, so it is a narrower scope, not a cheaper Acumatica.

Odoo and Rillet round out the list, and neither can be priced in dollars from its own site. Odoo shows euro tiers only, and Rillet routes to sales.

Acumatica pros and cons

What we like

  • Users cost nothing extra, according to the vendor, so headcount growth does not raise the license line on its own.
  • Three industry packages each show a monthly starting price with support and implementation included.

What could be better

  • The floor excludes applications, usage and deployment choices, so the first contract lands above it.
  • No free trial appears on the pricing page. The route in is a demo and a custom pricing review.

Who Acumatica is for

Acumatica fits a CFO, COO or controller at a distribution, manufacturing or construction firm whose inventory, jobs and ledger must share a record, and whose user count is growing faster than its application list. For that buyer, the unlimited-user line is the strongest number on the page.

Skip it when the work is finance only. A multi-entity services firm gets little from an industry package it does not need.

Compare the finance-first options first: our Sage Intacct review and NetSuite review cover that lane, and Rillet is the AI-native option for accounting alone.

The bottom line

Acumatica earns a place on the shortlist for a distribution, manufacturing or construction company that wants unlimited users and inventory or job costs on the same ledger.

Its published monthly floors are the starting point, and the rest of the bill follows the applications and deployment you choose.

Put a quote next to Business Central at your real headcount, and next to Unleashed if the work is mostly inventory.

Pick Acumatica when the user count is the number you cannot control, and skip it when a finance-only tool covers the job.

Frequently asked questions

Is Acumatica worth it in 2026?

It is worth a shortlist for a distribution, manufacturing or construction company that expects many users and wants inventory, production or job costs on the same ledger. Its distribution starting price is the lowest of the three published, with support and implementation included, and users cost nothing extra according to the vendor. It is a poor fit for a finance-only company, where the industry packages add little.

How much does Acumatica cost?

Acumatica publishes monthly starting prices for three industries only: distribution, construction and manufacturing, as read on October 10, 2026. Manufacturing is the highest at under USD 2,185 a month. Those figures exclude the applications, usage and deployment you add, so the real annual total comes from a quote.

Does Acumatica have a free plan or trial?

No free plan or trial appears on its pricing page. The route in is a demo and a custom pricing review.

Is Acumatica cheaper than Business Central?

It depends on headcount. Business Central Essentials costs $960 a user a year, so from 19 Essentials users up, the Acumatica distribution floor of $17,940 a year costs less. Premium costs $1,320 a user a year, so from 14 users up the floor is cheaper than Premium. Modules on both sides are not included in that count.

Does Acumatica charge per user?

No, according to the vendor. Its pricing page says it charges for applications, usage and deployment rather than seats, and its calculators say users are unlimited at no additional cost. Usage and resources still move the bill as the company grows.
