Cap Table Software Pricing 2026: 25 to 100 Stakeholders

Cap table software pricing in 2026 for 25, 50 and 100 stakeholders: Eqvista, Cake Equity, Carta and Ledgy, plus what Pulley customers do before December 8.

Cap Table Software Pricing 2026: 25 to 100 Stakeholders

Eqvista has the lowest published price for a cap table of 25 to 50 stakeholders: $2 per stakeholder a month, or $1,200 a year at 50 stakeholders by our arithmetic. Cake Equity's Build plan is $1,000 a year for 25 stakeholders, then $60 for each extra one. Carta quotes its paid plans, and Pulley shuts down on December 8, 2026. Prices checked on vendor pages on October 21, 2026.

CFOpresso data: of the five cap table vendors on this page, two (Cake Equity and Eqvista) publish a dollar price a 50-stakeholder company can total without a sales call. Toolradar, the software directory we run, evaluated 11 entity management tools in its October 2026 ranking, Carta and Pulley among them, and 4 of the 11 have a free plan.

The yearly bill at 25, 50 and 100 stakeholders

The table prices the same cap table at three sizes on each vendor's own list price, billed yearly. A stakeholder is anyone who holds securities: shareholders, option holders, SAFE and note holders, RSU and RSA holders and warrant holders, as Cake defines it. Totals are our arithmetic on the printed rates.

Vendor and plan 25 stakeholders 50 stakeholders 100 stakeholders 409A valuation
Eqvista Premium Cap Table $600 a year $1,200 a year Custom pricing above 50 Bundles with the cap table from $990 a year
Cake Equity Build $1,000 a year $2,500 a year $5,500 a year Add-on, $1,500 a year
Cake Equity Team $2,750 a year (40 included) $3,350 a year $6,350 a year Two a year included
Carta Launch is free up to 25 stakeholders and $1M raised; otherwise quoted Build, up to 50 stakeholders: contact sales Grow or Scale: contact sales Through Carta; price not printed on its pricing page
Ledgy Launch, free (plan list says 50 stakeholders max) Launch, free Scale: check the current price on Ledgy's site Listed as a service on Launch; price not shown
Pulley Shutting down December 8, 2026 Not open to new buyers Not open to new buyers Not open to new buyers

Three things stand out. Eqvista is the cheapest published route up to 50 stakeholders, at half of Cake Build's price for the same 50-person cap table. Cake Build's extra-stakeholder fee makes it climb fast: at 100 stakeholders the $60 overage is most of the bill. And Carta, the platform most investors and lawyers already know, puts no dollar figure on any paid plan.

What a 409A changes

Most companies above 25 stakeholders also need a 409A valuation to set option strike prices, so the cap table price alone understates the bill. Price the pair together.

At 50 stakeholders with one 409A a year, Cake Team costs less than Cake Build plus the add-on, because Team includes two 409As: $3,350 against $4,000. Eqvista sells the 409A and its Premium Cap Table as one bundle priced by stage, from $990 a year before funding to $1,990 at Seed and $2,590 at Series A, with unlimited 409A updates and renewals. Eqvista says those tiers can vary with revenue, stakeholder count and capital structure, so treat them as a starting point for a written quote. Our guide to how much a 409A valuation costs compares standalone providers.

Carta does not print a 409A price on its pricing page. That page says every package has a price per stakeholder with a minimum annual fee, and optional add-on products sit on top of each paid plan, all priced through sales.

If you are on Pulley: dates and offers

Pulley's FAQ sets three dates. Opt in to the Carta migration by November 30, 2026 to get Carta's offer. The Pulley app and support stop on December 8, 2026. Your data stays available in a limited format until January 31, 2027, and Pulley says it will not help with a move to any provider other than Carta.

Carta honors your current Pulley pricing for the first full year and credits any unused prepaid Pulley balance. You sign a new 12-month Carta contract, and the rate takes effect the day you sign. Carta bills annually, semi-annually or quarterly, not monthly, so a Pulley customer on monthly billing moves to a quarterly or annual cycle. Carta also accepts Pulley's existing 409A and supports its defense.

Eqvista runs its own Pulley offer: the rest of your Pulley term added free, 30% off your current Pulley invoice and a year-2 price lock, with migration in 1 to 5 business days. On Pulley's Startup list price of $1,200 a year, 30% off is $840 by our arithmetic. Confirm which invoice the discount applies to before you sign.

Cake Equity offers free managed migration from Pulley or Carta and says most moves finish in 2 to 5 business days, with the migrated cap table visible before you pay.

The Carta route keeps your year-1 price; the others may cut it. For a company on Pulley Growth at $3,500 a year with 40 stakeholders, Cake Team at $2,750 also covers 40 stakeholders and includes two 409As, and Eqvista Premium at 40 stakeholders is $960 a year before any 409A. Whichever you pick, export the cap table and documents from Pulley first.

What each vendor meters

The meter matters more than the headline. Eqvista and Cake both count stakeholders, but Eqvista bills per stakeholder per month, while Cake includes a block (25 on Build, 40 on Team, 100 on Pro) and charges $60 for each stakeholder above it. Pulley counted angel investors with checks of $50,000 or less as half a stakeholder, so a company moving off Pulley may see its stakeholder count rise on the new vendor's definition.

Carta meters by package and stakeholder count, with a minimum annual fee, and its free Launch plan has two limits: 25 stakeholders and $1M raised. A company that closes a $1.5M seed round leaves Launch even with 10 stakeholders.

Billing terms differ too. Cake Build can be paid quarterly, and annual billing saves $500 a year; Team is annual only, and add-ons need an annual plan. Cake Pro is custom, includes 100 stakeholders and adds ASC 718 expensing and Form 3921 filing.

Which one fits your stage

  • Under 20 stakeholders, pre-funding: Eqvista's Freemium plan or Carta Launch, both free. Our free cap table software guide compares the free plans' limits.
  • 25 to 50 stakeholders, seed stage: Eqvista Premium has the lowest cap table price. Cake Team is the simpler single bill if you need two 409As a year.
  • 50 to 100 stakeholders, Series A: Eqvista prices above 50 by quote, so get its quote next to Cake Team and Carta. At 100 stakeholders Cake Team lists at $6,350 a year.
  • Board, investor or legal team already on Carta: expect a quote. Ask for the per-stakeholder rate, the minimum annual fee and the add-on prices in writing.

For where the cap table sits in a finance stack, see the finance stack for a Series A company and the tools for a first finance hire. Board materials often live next to it; the cheapest board portal software covers that line.

Mistakes that inflate the bill

  • Comparing plan prices without a 409A. Cake Build plus its 409A add-on costs more than Cake Team at 50 stakeholders.
  • Counting stakeholders on the old vendor's rules. Pulley counted small angel checks as half, while Cake counts anyone who holds securities.
  • Missing Carta's $1M raised cap on Launch. The free plan ends at the funding threshold, not only at 25 stakeholders.
  • Waiting past November 30, 2026 on Pulley. After that date, Pulley says you can still sign with Carta but without the guaranteed pricing or credits.

Methodology

We read the pricing pages of Cake Equity, Eqvista, Carta, Ledgy and Pulley, Pulley's shutdown FAQ and Eqvista's Pulley migration page on October 21, 2026, and quoted only figures printed there; how we weigh vendors is on how we rate. Totals at 25, 50 and 100 stakeholders are our arithmetic on those figures, billed yearly. Where a vendor quotes, the table says so and we did not estimate a price from third-party sites. Ledgy prices its paid plan in euros, so check the current price on Ledgy's site. Toolradar's directory lists Carta, Pulley and Ledgy. This page is general information, not personalized financial advice; confirm terms, stakeholder counts and contract length with each provider before you sign.
