TL;DR

SAP Ariba is the closest like-for-like Coupa alternative for an enterprise on SAP, and Precoro is the cheapest full procure-to-pay option with a published price, from $499 a month billed annually, as of October 2026. Ivalua and JAGGAER fit companies with direct materials spend, Zip fits teams that want an intake layer, and Procurify fits mid-market teams that want unlimited requesters.

Coupa publishes no price. Vendr, a software buying broker, reports a median Coupa contract of $95,000 a year, a third-party estimate rather than Coupa's figure. Tradogram is the lowest published entry point here, at $99 a month on monthly billing.

A finance team rarely leaves Coupa because the software fails; it leaves because the contract is sized for an enterprise procurement department, and the company has 200 requesters, one ERP and a controller running purchasing on the side. The other exit is the reverse: a global manufacturer that wants deeper direct materials sourcing than its Coupa scope covers. Those two buyers need very different replacements, so this page sorts the alternatives by the reason you are leaving.

CFOpresso data: Toolradar, the software directory we run, lists Coupa as an alternative to 44 other tools, the second most-listed of the 116 supply chain tools it tracks, as of October 2026, with a 4.5 out of 5 rating across 570 reviews. That makes Coupa the benchmark most procurement tools get compared against, which is why the comparisons below all start from its scope. See the Coupa profile and Toolradar's Coupa alternatives page.

How we ranked: we read each vendor's own pricing and product pages on October 17, 2026 and ordered the list by fit for the reasons teams leave Coupa: enterprise suites first, then intake and mid-market tools, then the published-price options. We did not run hands-on tests. Our Coupa review covers whether to stay; this page is for the buyer who is already shopping.

What it is

A Coupa alternative is a procurement or source-to-pay platform that covers some or all of what Coupa does: intake, requisitions, purchase orders, sourcing, contracts, supplier management, invoicing and payments. The enterprise suites (SAP Ariba, Ivalua, JAGGAER, GEP SMART) replace Coupa module for module. The mid-market tools (Procurify, Vroozi, Precoro, Tradogram) replace the procure-to-pay core and skip most of the strategic sourcing depth.

Two products here are not suites. Zip is an intake and orchestration layer that can sit in front of an ERP, and Tropic manages software and AI spend specifically. Each fits a narrower exit, and both are cheaper to evaluate than a full suite migration.

Why it matters

Coupa's own homepage claims $10 trillion in spend intelligence and says 55% of the Fortune 500 work with it, and Gartner named it a Leader in source-to-pay suites three years running, according to Coupa. That scale is the product. A company that does not use the community benchmarks, the supplier network or the supply chain modeling is paying for depth it never touches, and that is the most common reason a CFO starts this search.

The other reason is the bill. Coupa publishes no rate card, and Vendr's buyer data puts the median contract at $95,000 a year, ranging from $20,761 to $331,445 across deals it handled. Against that median, Precoro's Automation plan comes to $11,988 a year at its published rate, which is $83,012 less, before implementation on either side. The saving is real only if the cheaper tool covers your workflow, so a CFO should map scope first and compare price second.

Plan the exit before you sign anything. Export open purchase orders, the supplier master with tax and bank details, catalog and punch-out configurations, approval chains and contract metadata, then run the two systems in parallel for one month-end close. Our procurement software ranking and AP automation ranking show the wider market, and AP automation pricing compared covers the invoice side if that is where Coupa hurts.

Key features to look for

Published price
Precoro, Tradogram and Tropic print a starting price. Coupa, SAP Ariba, Ivalua, JAGGAER, GEP SMART, Zip, Procurify and Vroozi sell by quote, so budget the sales cycle as well as the subscription.
Direct materials depth
Ivalua and JAGGAER both name direct materials sourcing and supply chain collaboration. A manufacturer leaving Coupa for more direct spend coverage should start with those two.
Requester pricing
Procurify gives unlimited Basic users and prices by Pro users, and Precoro's Enterprise plan has unlimited users. That matters when hundreds of employees raise requests but only a few approve them.
Invoice volume caps
Vroozi's tiers are capped by users and invoices a month, from 100 users and 2,500 invoices on Professional. Count your monthly invoice volume before the first call.
ERP integration
Precoro reserves ERP integrations for Enterprise, and Tradogram sells ERP and accounting integrations as an add-on on every plan. A NetSuite or SAP shop should price that line first.

Pricing

Coupa publishes no price; its site routes buyers to a demo or a sales contact. The best outside reference is Vendr's Coupa page, a third-party estimate based on deals Vendr handled, not a Coupa figure. Four enterprise rivals are also quote-only: SAP Ariba (which offers a free guided buying trial), Ivalua, JAGGAER and GEP SMART.

The mid-market quote-only tools publish their pricing logic instead of a number. Procurify prices by Pro users with unlimited Basic users, and Vroozi caps its tiers by users and monthly invoices. Zip shows no price at all.

Three vendors print a number. Precoro bills Core and Automation annually, so a year costs $5,988 or $11,988 at the starting rates. Tradogram Essentials costs $1,188 for twelve months on monthly billing, before the 20% yearly discount. Tropic starts at $3,083 a month based on employees, or $36,996 a year. Prices verified on each vendor's own pricing page on October 17, 2026.

Mistakes to avoid
×Comparing a mid-market tool's monthly price with Coupa's annual contract without adding the ERP integration and implementation lines the cheaper tool sells separately.
×Cancelling Coupa before the supplier master, open purchase orders and punch-out catalogs have been exported and loaded into the new system.
×Buying a full suite again when the real problem was intake: if requests get lost before they become POs, an orchestration layer such as Zip may fix it at a smaller scope.
Expert tips
→Pick the replacement by the reason you are leaving: scope too large points to Procurify, Vroozi or Precoro; direct spend points to Ivalua or JAGGAER; SAP ERP points to SAP Ariba.
→Ask every quote-only vendor for the price of each module, the user types, and the renewal uplift cap in writing.
→Time the switch to your Coupa renewal date and give the notice period your contract requires, so you do not pay for two systems for a full term.

The bottom line

SAP Ariba is the first call for an SAP enterprise that wants Coupa's scope with a different vendor, and Ivalua or JAGGAER win when direct materials matter. Zip fits a company whose pain is intake, Procurify and Vroozi fit mid-market teams that want a smaller contract, and Precoro and Tradogram are the only procure-to-pay tools here you can price before a call. Tropic is for the narrower case of software renewals.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best Coupa alternative in 2026?

SAP Ariba is the closest like-for-like Coupa alternative for an enterprise running SAP, with guided buying, catalogs, invoicing and a free guided buying trial. Ivalua and JAGGAER suit direct materials spend, and Procurify or Precoro suit mid-market teams that want a smaller contract. Vendor pages were read in October 2026.

How much does Coupa cost?

Coupa publishes no price. Vendr, a third-party software buying service, reports a median Coupa contract of $95,000 a year, ranging from $20,761 to $331,445 across the deals it handled. That is an estimate, not Coupa's price; the only real figure is a written quote for your modules and user count.

Which Coupa alternative has a published price?

Precoro, Tradogram and Tropic publish starting prices. Precoro Core is $499 a month billed annually, Tradogram Essentials is $99 a month billed monthly, and Tropic starts at $3,083 a month based on employees, all checked in October 2026. SAP Ariba, Ivalua, JAGGAER, GEP SMART, Zip, Procurify and Vroozi are quote-only.

Is there a cheaper alternative to Coupa for mid-market companies?

Yes. Precoro's Automation plan costs $11,988 a year at its published $999 monthly rate, and Tradogram Essentials is $1,188 for twelve months on monthly billing. Procurify keeps cost down for companies with many requesters by charging only for Pro users. Check ERP integration, which Precoro reserves for Enterprise and Tradogram sells as an add-on.

Can I keep Coupa and add another tool instead of replacing it?

Yes. GEP SMART lists Coupa among the source-to-pay suites its AI agents connect to, and Zip runs intake and orchestration in front of other systems. That suits a team whose problem is one stage, such as intake or sourcing, rather than the whole suite.

How long does it take to switch from Coupa?

Plan at least one month-end close in parallel, after exporting the supplier master, open POs, catalogs and approval chains. Among the vendors here, Vroozi publishes an average go-live of 3.5 months, reported by its users. The enterprise suites publish no timeline, so ask for a phased plan in the proposal.
