Melio Pricing 2026: Plans From Free to $80 and Every Fee
Melio pricing in 2026: Go is free and Core starts at $25 a month, plus per-payment fees for ACH, checks, wires and 2.9% by card. Yearly costs worked out.

Melio costs nothing on its Go plan, then $25 a month on Core, $55 on Boost and $80 on Unlimited when billed monthly, or $20, $44 and $64 a month billed annually, verified October 2026 on Melio's pricing page. Each payment then carries its own fee: ACH is $0.50 once a plan's free monthly allowance is used, a check is $1.50, and paying a bill by card costs 2.9%.
Our take: Melio's plans are priced on how many ACH payments you send, not on how many people use it. A finance team that pays more than about a hundred vendors a month by ACH reaches the point where Unlimited, with no ACH fee and no seat fee, is cheaper than Core, as the scenarios below show.
Toolradar data: Melio's $25 entry plan sits exactly at the median of the 95 invoicing tools with a verified entry price on Toolradar, the software directory we run, as of October 2026. Only 33% of the 229 invoicing tools Toolradar tracks have a free plan, and Melio is one of them.
Melio plans at a glance
| Plan | Billed monthly | Billed annually, per month | Free ACH per month | Extra users | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Go | Free | Free | 5 | One user only | A sole owner paying a handful of vendors |
| Core | $25 | $20 | 20 | $10 a month each, or $8 billed annually | Small teams that need QuickBooks Online or Xero sync and approvals |
| Boost | $55 | $44 | 50 | $10 a month each, or $8 billed annually | Accounting firms and teams on QuickBooks Desktop |
| Unlimited | $80 | $64 | Unlimited | Unlimited users included | High-volume teams and teams with many approvers |
| Platinum | Custom pricing | Custom pricing | Custom fees | Custom | Invite-only, for businesses paying over $300K a month by card |
Every paid plan starts with 90 days free and needs no card. If you do not pick a paid plan by day 90, Melio moves the account to Go and deletes the data from premium features, so export approval histories and synced records you want to keep before the trial ends.
Annual billing cuts each plan by 20% by our arithmetic, and the per-user add-on drops by the same share. For a team sure it will stay a year, that is worth about two and a half months of software.
What each plan includes
Go covers the basics of paying and getting paid: ACH, wire and check payments, paying any bill by card even where the vendor does not take cards, AI bill capture, a bills inbox, international payments, expense management and free invoicing. Its limits are one user, five free ACH payments a month and up to 10 QuickBooks or Xero syncs.
Core is where accounting sync and controls begin. It adds unlimited QuickBooks Online and Xero sync, batch payments, vendor-based and gradual approval workflows, W-9 collection with TIN validation, 1099 e-filing through Tax1099, an AI assistant, priority chat support and branded invoices. Twenty ACH payments a month are free.
Boost adds advanced user roles, vendor credits (QuickBooks Online only), QuickBooks Desktop sync and premium phone support, plus 50 free ACH payments a month. It is the first plan for a firm still on QuickBooks Desktop.
Unlimited removes the two meters that drive the bill on the lower plans: ACH payments are free without limit and users cost nothing extra. It is also the only self-serve plan with NetSuite sync. A controller on NetSuite has no cheaper Melio option.
Every Melio payment fee
The plan price covers the software. Fees depend on how you pay and how the vendor receives the money, all from the fee tables on Melio's pricing page.
| Paying from a bank account | Fee |
|---|---|
| ACH bank transfer | Free within the plan allowance, then $0.50 |
| Check | $1.50 |
| Fast check | $20 |
| Overnight check | $50 |
| Instant bank transfer | 1%, capped at $75 |
| Same-day ACH | 1%, capped at $75 |
| Wire transfer | $10 |
| Same-day wire | 1%, minimum $10, capped at $75 |
Paying by credit or debit card costs 2.9%, and the faster delivery options add their own charge on top, such as the fast check fee. Pay over time, Melio's financing option, starts at 2.9%. On a $5,000 invoice, the card fee alone is $145 by our arithmetic, against a fraction of a dollar or nothing by ACH, so card payment makes sense mainly when the float or the card rewards are worth more than the fee.
International payments carry separate prices:
| International payment | Fee |
|---|---|
| By ACH, received in USD | $20 flat |
| By ACH, fast USD | 1%, minimum $30, capped at $95 |
| By ACH, in local currency | Conversion rates apply |
| By card, received in USD | 2.9% plus $20 |
| By card, fast USD | 2.9% plus $30 |
International card payments run on Visa and Mastercard only, and Melio prints discounted card fees for larger foreign-currency transfers.
Getting paid is cheaper. A customer paying a Melio invoice by bank transfer pays no fee, and a card payment costs 2.9%, which you can absorb or pass to the customer. When the vendor chooses the payout method, Melio lists a 1% fee for an instant payout to a debit card or bank account and for same-day ACH, while a single-use virtual card costs nothing beyond the vendor's normal card processing fees.
What a small business pays in a year
Three scenarios, all our arithmetic on the prices above, ACH only unless stated, with no Platinum terms.
A sole owner sending 15 ACH payments a month. On Go, five are free and the other ten are charged per payment, so the year costs $60. Core billed monthly costs $300 a year and would cover all 15 for free. Go wins unless the owner needs more than 10 accounting syncs or an approval step.
A three-person AP team sending 120 ACH payments and 10 checks a month.
| Plan, three users | Billed monthly, per year | Billed annually, per year |
|---|---|---|
| Core | $1,320 | $1,212 |
| Boost | $1,500 | $1,320 |
| Unlimited | $1,140 | $948 |
On annual Core, the team pays $36 a month for the plan and two extra users, $50 for the 100 ACH payments past the allowance and $15 for checks. Unlimited drops the ACH and seat charges, leaving only the annual plan price plus the same $15 in check fees. Unlimited is the cheapest plan for this team on either billing. Boost costs more than both, so pick it only for QuickBooks Desktop or advanced roles.
Where Core stops being cheaper. For one user on annual billing, Core plus ACH fees matches Unlimited's $64 at about 108 ACH payments a month. With three users on Core, the crossover falls to about 76 payments, because the two extra seats add $16 a month. If your volume sits near those lines, the 90-day trial shows your real count before you commit.
How Melio compares on published entry prices
| Product | Entry software price, October 2026 | Standard ACH fee | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Melio | Free Go plan; Core $25 a month | $0.50 after the free allowance | Flat plan price, users extra below Unlimited |
| BILL | Essentials $49 per user a month | $0.59 | Every user is billed on Essentials and Team |
| Ramp | Free plan | Lists free same-day ACH and wires through Bill Pay, under its payments terms | Bill pay sits inside a broader spend platform |
The per-user model is the biggest difference from BILL. Three BILL Essentials users cost $147 a month before any fee, per BILL's pricing page, which is more than Melio Unlimited with unlimited users and unlimited ACH. Essentials also syncs to QuickBooks and Xero only through manual CSV import and export, a job Melio includes from Core. Ramp's pricing page shows a free plan, so a team that also wants corporate cards should price Ramp before paying for any AP plan. Our BILL vs Melio comparison goes feature by feature, and our Ramp pricing and BILL pricing explainers cover the other two in full.
Hidden costs to budget for
- ACH past the allowance. Five, 20 or 50 free payments a month sounds generous until month-end, when every extra ACH costs $0.50.
- Seats on Core and Boost. Each user beyond the first adds a monthly fee, lower on annual billing. Approvers count as users.
- Checks. At $1.50 each, and $20 or $50 for fast and overnight delivery, a vendor list that insists on paper adds up quickly.
- Speed. Instant and same-day options cost 1% up to $75 per payment, so a habit of paying late and fast is expensive.
- Card payments. 2.9% on every bill paid by card, before any faster delivery charge.
- Trial data. Premium-feature data is deleted if the account drops to Go after 90 days.
- Trial end. The free trial covers 90 days, so set a reminder before it ends to decide which plan your volume justifies.
Is Melio worth it?
Yes for small businesses and lean AP teams on QuickBooks Online, Xero or NetSuite that pay most vendors by ACH and want flat software pricing. The free Go plan is a real option for a sole owner, and Unlimited is good value once volume or headcount grows. Before you buy, run through our accounts payable checklist to see which controls you need. Melio is less suited to a team that needs procurement, purchase orders and 2-way matching inside the AP tool, which Melio's plan comparison does not list.

How we priced this
All Melio plan prices, transaction fees, allowances and trial terms come from Melio's pricing page, including its fee tables and FAQ, read on 21 October 2026. BILL and Ramp figures come from their own pricing pages, read the same day. Yearly totals and crossovers are our arithmetic on those printed prices; the scenarios use assumed payment volumes stated in each case and no Platinum or negotiated terms. The Toolradar figures come from Melio's Toolradar profile, October 2026.
